Hello,
My name is Manolis Manimanakis and I come from the city of Chania , which is on the island of Crete , Greece. For the last ten years I've been living with my wife and three daughters at a small village Drakeia, on Pelion, the mountain of the Centaurs and Jason, at a traditional stone – made house.
I started occupying myself with hand-made jewels about twenty-five years ago, when I abandoned the dream of becoming a virtuoso violinist !!! Back then, I knew I would be engaged in something involving art. The instant I touched silver, gold, gems, and fire I knew I was given to express myself and start creating.
I always design the pieces of my collection myself and it's solely my handiwork. This means that each jewel is one of a kind. Even if I tried to make another piece similar to the first one, it could never be exactly the same, given that it's hand-made, thus unique.
I would very much appreciate your opinion and in any case I would accept to make any of your ideas into a piece of jewelery, as complicated as it could be. What I would need is a design or a picture of the jewel you wish; we could even discuss over it. Besides, it's a great happiness for a creator to give joy and pleasure to whoever chooses his work!
